Overview

The Customer Management section in SupportCandy allows administrators to view, edit, track, and manage all customers who interact with the support system. It provides a centralized view of customer information, ticket activity, and history logs.

Where to Find

Go to: SupportCandy → Customers

Customer List

The Customer List displays all users associated with SupportCandy, along with important details to help you manage them efficiently.

Available Information
  • Name – Customer’s name
  • Email Address – Customer’s registered email
  • User Type – Type of user (e.g., registered user, guest)
  • Number of Tickets – Total tickets created by the customer
Filters

Filters help you quickly narrow down customers based on their activity.

  • All Users – Displays all customers, including those without any tickets
  • Users Has Tickets – Displays only customers who have created tickets

You can also use the search bar to find customers by name or email address.

Edit Customer

You can update customer details from the edit section.

Steps to Edit
  1. Go to SupportCandy → Customers
  2. Click Edit next to the desired customer
  3. Modify the required details
  4. Click Save
Editable Fields
  • Customer Name
  • Custom field values associated with the customer
Important Note
  • The email address cannot be edited from SupportCandy.

To change a customer’s email:

  1. Go to Dashboard → Users → All Users
  2. Search for the user
  3. Click Edit
  4. Update the email address
  5. Click Save Changes

Delete Customer

You can permanently remove a customer from SupportCandy.

Steps to Delete
  1. Go to SupportCandy → Customers
  2. Click Delete next to the customer
What Gets Deleted

Deleting a customer from SupportCandy removes:

  • Customer information
  • Custom field data
  • All tickets created by the customer
Important Note

If you delete a user from WordPress Dashboard → Users, only the WordPress account is removed.
SupportCandy will still retain:

  • Customer data
  • Custom fields
  • Tickets

Logs

The Logs section helps you track changes made to customer information.

What Logs Show
  • Field updates
  • What was changed
  • Date and time of change
  • User who made the change
Steps to View Logs
  1. Go to SupportCandy → Customers
  2. Click Logs next to the customer

Notes / Tips
  • Use filters to quickly identify active customers.
  • Always double-check before deleting a customer, as this action is permanent.
  • Logs provide a useful audit trail for tracking updates.
  • Email changes must be handled from the WordPress user settings.

Customer Fields allow you to store additional or advanced information related to customer accounts. These fields can be customized based on your requirements, helping you manage and organize customer data more effectively.

Go to: SupportCandy → Custom Fields → Customer Fields

Add a New Customer Field

You can create custom fields to collect and store extra customer information.

Steps to Add
  1. Go to SupportCandy → Custom Fields → Customer Fields
  2. Click the Add New button (available in the header section)
  3. Enter the required details:
    • Field Label
    • Load after
    • Additional settings (based on field type)
  4. Click Save to create the field

Default Customer Fields

  • By default, SupportCandy includes some basic customer fields:

    • Name: Stores the customer’s full name
    • Email Address: Stores the customer’s email address

    Each field includes an Edit option under the Actions column, allowing you to modify field settings when needed.

Edit Customer Fields

You can update existing customer fields at any time.

Steps to Edit
  1. Go to SupportCandy → Custom Fields → Customer Fields
  2. Locate the field you want to modify
  3. Click Edit under the Actions column
  4. Update the required settings
  5. Click Save

View Customer Field Values

Customer field values can be viewed in multiple places within SupportCandy.

Locations
  • Customer Profile Page
    Go to Support → Customers → View to see all customer details along with custom field values
  • Ticket Page
    Open any ticket and check the “Raised By” section
    Click the info icon to view customer field details

Example

Suppose you want to store a customer’s company name:

  1. Go to Customer Fields
  2. Click Add New
  3. Create a field named Company Name
  4. Save the field

Now, this field will be available to store and view company information for each customer.

Notes / Tips
  • Use customer fields to store important data like company name, phone number, or address
  • Keep field names clear and meaningful for better usability
  • Avoid creating unnecessary fields to keep the interface clean
  • Regularly review and update fields as your requirements evolve
