Overview

The Private Credentials widget allows customers and support agents to securely store confidential information related to a ticket.
Credentials are stored in an encrypted format to help protect sensitive information such as website access details, FTP credentials, usernames, and passwords.
The widget is available in the sidebar of the individual ticket page.

Where to Find

Go to Support → Tickets → Individual Ticket Page → Private Credentials Widget.

How It Works

The Private Credentials widget allows users to add confidential information to a ticket without storing the data as regular ticket content.
You can use the widget to collect information such as:

  • Website login credentials
  • FTP access details
  • Usernames and passwords
  • Other confidential access information
Add New Private Credentials

Open the Private Credentials widget from the sidebar of an individual ticket page and add the required confidential information.
The credentials are stored in an encrypted format.

Visibility and Accessibility

You can control which agent roles can view or modify private credentials.
To manage these permissions, go to:
Support → Support Agents → Agent Roles → Edit
Configure the following permissions:

  • View Credentials — Allows agents to view private credentials.
  • Modify Credentials — Allows agents to add or modify private credentials.

These permissions control the visibility and accessibility of private credentials for each agent role.

Auto Delete Once Close the Ticket

Enable automatic deletion to remove all private credentials associated with a ticket when the ticket is closed.
This helps prevent confidential information from being retained after the ticket is completed.
