Introduction

The Ticket Tag Setting feature allows administrators to manage tags associated with tickets in a ticketing system. With this feature, administrators can add, update, and delete tags, as well as view all the tickets associated with a particular tag. This documentation provides a detailed guide on how to use this feature effectively.

Customizing Tag Appearance

Support → Settings → Ticket Tags → General

Here you can set the default appearance of the tag icon. You can customize the text color and background color. This appearance will be set as default for every tag created from the individual ticket page.

Add New Tag

To add a new tag, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Support → Settings → Ticket Tags.
  2. Look for an option to “Add New”.
  3. Provide a name and optional description for the new tag.
  4. Select the background and text color.
  5. Click the “Submit” button to create the new tag.
Edit Tag

To update or edit an existing tag, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Support → Settings → Ticket Tags.
  2. Find the tag you want to update in the list of existing tags.
  3. Select the tag and look for an “Edit”.
  4. Modify the tag’s name, description, or color as needed.
  5. Click the “Submit” button to save your changes.
Delete Tag

To delete a tag, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Support → Settings → Ticket Tags.
  2. Locate the tag you wish to delete in the list of existing tags.
  3. Select the tag and find the “Delete”.
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted.
View Tickets

To view all the tickets associated with a particular tag, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Support → Settings → Ticket Tags.
  2. Find the tag you are interested in within the list of existing tags.
  3. Select the tag and look for an option to “View Tickets”.
  4. You will be presented with a list of all the tickets that have been tagged with the selected tag.

You can choose which agent roles can view and access the tag widget on the individual ticket page.

Adding a New tag from the Tag Widget

You can add a new tag to the ticket from the tag widget on the individual ticket page by just searching its title.

Creating a New tag from the Tag Widget

You can create a new tag from the tag widget on the individual ticket page, just type the title and add it to the list. The newly created tag will get automatically added to the ticket.
