Terms & conditions

Overview

The Terms & Conditions setting requires users to accept your terms before they submit a ticket or register.
You can enable the terms checkbox separately for the Create Ticket Form and Registration Form.

Where to Find

Go to Support → Settings → Miscellaneous → Terms & Conditions.

How It Works

When enabled, SupportCandy displays a terms and conditions checkbox on the selected form.
Users must accept the terms before they can continue with the ticket submission or registration process.
The terms message can be customized using the rich text editor.

Step-by-Step Guide

Options / Settings

Create Ticket Form
Controls whether users must accept the terms before submitting a ticket.
When enabled:

  • A checkbox appears on the ticket submission form.
  • Users must accept the terms before submitting the ticket.
  • The Terms & Conditions message can be customized using the rich text editor.
  • You can add formatted text and hyperlinks to the terms page or document.

Registration Form
Controls whether users must accept the terms before registering.
When enabled:

  • A checkbox appears on the Registration Form.
  • Users must accept the terms before completing registration.
Example

If you want users to accept your Terms & Conditions before submitting a ticket:

  1. Go to Support → Settings → Miscellaneous → Terms & Conditions.
  2. Enable Create Ticket Form.
  3. Enter a message explaining that users must accept the terms.
  4. Add a link to your Terms & Conditions page using the rich text editor.
  5. Save the settings.

Users will then see the terms checkbox on the ticket submission form.
